Luke Mickelson grew up a hardworking farm kid in the small town of Kimberly, Idaho, where community, character, and service were simply a way of life. An avid athlete and lifelong competitor, he poured his energy into youth programs, coaching, and mentoring—developing both a passion for people and a natural talent for leadership.    That same drive carried into his professional career in business, but something was missing. In 2012, driven by a desire to make a deeper impact, Luke founded Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a simple but powerful mission: “No kid sleeps on the floor in our town.”    What began as a single act of kindness has grown into a global movement. Today, SHP has more than 400 chapters across 47 U.S. states and 4 countries, delivering over 315,000 beds to children in need.

Built On Purpose

Todd J. Griffee grew up in Niles, Michigan, in the shadow of Notre Dame’s Golden Dome. Inspired at age ten to pursue a life of service, he combined his love of history, military tradition, and Notre Dame athletics into a focused plan that led him to become a two-time All-American fencer and Army ROTC graduate.
Todd went on to serve as an Army Reserve officer, Indiana State Trooper, St. Joseph County Deputy, and later as a Federal Police Officer. His dedication eventually guided him into federal investigative work as a Navy CID Investigator and ultimately an NCIS Investigator.
A husband, father, and grandfather, Todd credits his wife, Bonnie Jo—an educator of over 23 years—for encouraging him to share his story to inspire young people and adults seeking purpose. Their conversations led to his book, TOUCHÉ: A Notre Dame All-American Fencer’s Spiritual Guide to Success, which reflects the spiritual lessons and “miracles” he experienced throughout his journey.
Todd enjoys travel, fitness, music, and rallying his Porsche, and is preparing to share his message through speaking engagements for schools, agencies, teams, and organizations.

Teach Your Family to LoveOur guest is Nick Sevens from his teens, he made a hobby of fatherhood and family. When he lost a daughter to an avalanche in 2008, he realized his knowledge and experiences needed to be shared with other men. For over eighteen years now, he has led men’s ministries and spoken about fatherhood. He loves guiding fathers and grandfathers into how to build spiritual and emotional maturity into the lives of their children and families. He has now authored a book titled The Best Granddad Ever: Seven Spiritual Gifts Your Family Need from You to be published later this year. Grandfathers need to learn the power of their voice and be challenged to use it to bless their family and build a positive legacy.
